What I LOVE This Week (Geek Edition)

This week I am doing a geek edition of thing I LOVE! You might already know this, but I am slightly geeky. Not nerdy, just geeky...there's a bit of a difference. 

nerd: a foolish or contemptible person who lacks social skills or is boringly studious.

geek: a person with an eccentric devotion to a particular interest.

After looking up the definitions, I am definitely going with geek over nerd! So check out these awesome and geeky things that I love:

1. Boba Fett KitchenAid Mixer I've seen a lot of custom paint jobs on the KitchenAid mixer, but this one is one of the coolest. I don't even have a mixer, it's something on my wish list, but if I did it would be awesome to paint it with a custom design!

2. Superhero Wall Art I love superheroes! I was seriously considering decorating my living room with something similar and it would have been fantastic. Someday I still might do that because now I am reconsidering. Good thing I haven't really done much to decorate yet, we've been here a year now but I've been putting it off. 

3. I Still Believe in 398.2 Necklace Charm I just found this today and its so cute! 398.2 is the fairy tale section of the Dewey Decimal System. It combines two of my favorite things: books and fairy tales! I've loved all fairy tales ever since I was little. 

4. Leather Quote Cuffs These are really nice bracelets, I would love to get one. Mainly I like them because I love the Tolkien quote. I've been a big Tolkien fan since I was little as well. My mother used to read us these books (and many others) every afternoon. 

5. Legendary Maternity Set I've had a maternity or baby item on this list every weeks so far. But this is pretty cute, I had to include it. I love the show How I Met Your Mother, although the last season I thought it was getting a little old, but overall its a great show. This would be a perfect gift for someone who enjoys the show. 

6. Mad Tea Party Pocket Watch Necklace I absolutely love Alice in Wonderland. I've been working on an Alice in Wonderland illustration for awhile. It isn't getting very far because I've been putting it off, but someday I will finish it! Seems like that happens with a lot of my projects.

What I LOVE This Week

Here are some of the things I love this week! It's so much fun to come up with this list. Now that I found out I could make collages on PicMonkey, it makes it even more fun! Check out this week's favorites:

1. Paper Flowers on Etsy These flowers are so delicate and pretty. I love that they are made out of old book pages. It's such a great idea. I don't even know what I would use them for if I had them, but I know I like them!

2. Hilarious Onesie This onesie is the best. I would absolutely love to get it for my boys. It cracks me up every time I see it. "I'd flex but I like this onesie" I know, I know...I'm so lame, but I don't care!

3. My Quote for the Week This has been my Motto for not only this week but the last few weeks. If possible I nap during my little man's two naps every day. Unless I have stuff to do, but lately napping seems more important than getting things done.

4. Nikon 1 Camera I got this camera as a (very) early birthday/Christmas present this year because we want to use it for pictures of the babies when they get here. It's awesome, I love it. I have an older DSLR Nikon which still works great, but for some reason I can't find the charger anywhere. So I had been just using my iPhone all the time, which also works pretty good, but using an actual camera just seems to produce much better pictures.

5. Yoga Pants from Old Navy So lately I don't have many clothes to wear. I miss my normal clothes! The only thing that's comfortable to wear is yoga pants, unless I absolutely have to wear jeans I'm always going to go for comfort right now.

6. Double Chocolate Mousse Cupcakes from Lady Behind the Curtain Don't these cupcakes look delicious!? I'm also drawn to bright colors, so that makes them look even better to me. I bet they taste just as good as they look. Maybe I can make some this week although I doubt if mine would look as great as hers!

Six Things to Love this Week

Some of the things I love this week:

1. Corgis. These little dogs are so adorable! How could you not love them?! They are cute and have short stubby legs. When we eventually get a dog, this is they kind I'm going to get.

2. Sugar Cookie Bars from lilluna.com. These look amazing! I haven't made them yet, but they are definitely on my list to make soon.

3. 8 Months Sober Maternity Tee. I don't normally drink even when I'm not pregnant, but I still think this shirt is funny. I'd buy it if I wasn't almost done now. It's so nice to know I only have 3 weeks left. If I wasn't having twins, I'd still have 7 weeks to go, probably 8 because Little Man was a week late.

4. Owl Pillow Boxes from kerryspapercrafts.com. I love owls, I have for a long time. These little boxes are super cute! She did such a great job making them and I love the colors as well!

5. Turquoise. The color. Lately I love it for anything, wall colors, clothing, nail polish, my iPad cover. I have a bunch of great photos I wanted to use, but I only had room for one in the collage.

6. Red Hair. I really want to dye my hair a similar color. I'm going to after the babies are born and once I am done losing my hair. Last time I lost so much hair, pretty sure it was way more than normal. Now it's finally grown back all the way and I'm hoping I can keep more of it this time!
